Network for public top management

In LEAD's networking program, you can work with other top leaders in the public sector to further develop and focus the leadership skills you have acquired through education and experience. You will be taught by some of the country's leading researchers, practitioners and authors and spar with other participants at the same level across the public and private sectors.

You will have the opportunity to build a strong network of professionals and through expert facilitation, both your experience and that of the other participants will be mobilized. This ensures that you leave each meeting not only inspired, but also ready to translate that inspiration into concrete action in your own organization.

Networking for managers

LEAD has its finger on the pulse of the public sector, as we work intensively with managers at all levels and specialists in municipalities, regions and government across the country. We therefore guarantee a program with a network at a high professional level that combines insight into the latest theory and methodology in public leadership and management with deep practical insight into the development of the public sector.

The professional starting point

LEAD's networking programmes are built on a combination of our own practical experience, the latest and proprietary research in leadership and organizational development, and countless large and small internal programmes across the public, private and third sectors. We have over 20 years of workshop facilitation experience and are the authors of a number of trend-setting books on public management.

The course is co-created with you, but is organized, designed and managed by our facilitator and day-to-day professional director here at LEAD Claus Elmholdt. In addition to Claus, you will meet trainers such as our Business Director Kristian Dahl and our Area Director for Digitalization Management Per Gulløv Lundh Eeg.

Depending on the theme, you will also regularly meet experts with the same high level of depth, ambition and practical experience such as our Area Directors Torsten Conrad, Just Bendix Justesen and Anne-Birgitte Albrectsen or for example Christian Nyvang Qvick, Katrine Bastian and Kaare Pedersen.

Participant profile

The network for managers is aimed at top managers in and around the public sector with strategic responsibility for major operational or management areas and the development of employees, managers, entire areas and administrations.

We are all passionate about leadership and use this arena as an opportunity to reflect, discuss and spar with each other without a prior agenda into each other's everyday life and leadership space.

What do we discuss in our network?

As a member, you are continuously involved in designing and co-creating the course. We make sure to have all the most important topics tailored and prepared, but the group continuously selects and prioritizes topics for the next 6-12 months.

What we at LEAD are particularly concerned with at the moment, and what we could discuss, for example, are questions such as:

  • Wild welfare - how do we characterize and deal with complex societal challenges and wild welfare problems?
  • Cross-collaboration - how do we create valuable collaboration across public organizations?
  • Personal leadership - how can you act balanced as a top leader in constantly changing circumstances?
  • Everyday implementation - how do we ensure that political or strategic decisions and intentions are translated into concrete behavioral changes?
  • Organizational resilience - what characterizes resilient organizations and leaders - and how do we create them?
  • The attractive workplace - how do we solve labor challenges and rethink the way we attract and retain managers and employees?
  • The SDGs and DEI - what is our contribution to achieving them; and why are, for example, diversity and the environment relevant competitive parameters for your organization?

As a participant, you will be regularly asked what you are interested in, so we can always talk about the topics that are most relevant to the group. Each meeting will therefore function as a management laboratory (or playground), where we use a highly topical theme with a leading profile in the field to explore the status, challenges and solutions in the latest research and practices(knowledge). From there, we do the same based on both your reality(reflection) and that of your fellow participants across the public sector(mobilization).
