What is leadership wellbeing?

Thriving leaders help create attractive workplaces. Being a manager isn't always easy - which is why focusing on manager wellbeing is important. It doesn't just concern the manager themselves. A manager's unhappiness can have major consequences for the manager themselves, but also for employees and the organization. Manager wellbeing is important for several reasons:

Influence: A manager has a direct impact on employee wellbeing through their own behavior, role modeling and their own state of mind.

Proactivity: It is the manager's responsibility to intervene when employees are experiencing unhappiness. This requires requires that managers themselves thrive and have concrete tools to do so.

Leadership wellbeing: There is an inherent risk of stress and overload in the leadership role, which is important to be aware of and prevent.
