Find your way in the digital jungle
Many managers struggle with the management of digitalization. They see it as a technical discipline that is poorly connected to their day-to-day professional management.
With the book "Leadership in the Digital Jungle", Per Eeg wants to help these leaders move forward - and guide them to find their own way through the digital jungle of opportunities and challenges.
The book is especially aimed at public sector leaders who are looking for an accessible and understandable handbook to help them manage digitalization.
Perhaps you experience uncertainty when entering the digital jungle. This could be due to a lack of knowledge or a misunderstood and difficult technical language that monopolizes knowledge in the IT department and at the supplier.
With this book, Per Eeg demystifies the language of IT and democratizes access to digitalization management. This makes it easier for you to incorporate digitalization into your core tasks for the benefit of citizens, organizations and employees.
NUET's competencies
In the book, Per Eeg combines traditional management literature with the latest literature on digitalization and generously exemplifies from his own experience from more than 20 years as a leader of digitalization in the public sector. Perhaps the first in Danish literature.
To succeed, you need to understand your role, acquire a richer language of digitalization and master four competencies: Curiosity, Uncertainty Management, Execution and Trust. Together, these competencies form the acronym NOW, which is easy to remember, understand and apply in a complex and busy workday.
Throughout the book, a number of top leaders pressure test NUET's competencies. They also share their advice on how to successfully lead digitalization in the public sector.
The idea of the book is to summarize key competencies in an acronym and phrase that leaders can easily remember and apply. Digital leadership requires presence. The book offers guidance for leaders to navigate the challenges and opportunities of the digital jungle created by exponential technological development.
