What is agile management?
It's now widely acknowledged that the world is changing at an increasing pace and that this places new demands on building organizations that are able to adjust and change course as needed. For the same reason, many organizations are currently working hard to become more agile, often introducing agile working concepts such as SAFe, Kanban or Scrum - just to name a few.
Research shows that effective leadership today is not about swinging the pendulum from controlling to supporting, but rather mastering the ability to balance control and support depending on the task and context. Research also shows that as the world becomes more complex, unpredictable and changeable, the demands on leaders to be able to flexibly adjust their leadership depending on the context in which they lead - in other words, to practice "agile leadership".
