Implementation and execution

It's one thing to develop strategies and make plans. It's another thing to turn those strategies and plans into action.

It is often in the last part, the implementation, that many fail and thus the reason why the organization doesn't succeed with a strategy or change.

At LEAD, we are deeply involved in implementation research and we are practice specialists in strengthening the implementation power of organizations.

We help you build the necessary capacity and skills to succeed with your next implementation.

We help ensure that strategic decisions and initiatives are acted upon on a day-to-day basis so that your organization succeeds with the new strategy or change you are facing.

When we work with implementation, we support the implementation of change across the organization. In doing so, we ensure that action focus and capacity for implementation is built at the individual level, in the organization's management chains and in the culture. We stand on the shoulders of the most recognized implementation researchers and practitioners and contribute to the development of new implementation and execution models.

Here you can see an example of a model of the phases of an implementation process that we often use as a starting point. We tailor each process based on your organization's individual needs and culture, as well as the overall purpose.

LEAD has assisted the Employment and Social Services Administration in Odense Municipality in equipping managers with the skills to ensure the anchoring of strategic initiatives and lead employees through change.

The purpose was to ensure deep and real implementation of better business collaborations and more and more focused conversations with citizens to break the unemployment curve in Odense Municipality, which was among the highest in the country in 2016.

After just under a year, the administration's CEO, René Junker, was able to conclude that they had succeeded in breaking the unemployment curve with the largest drop in unemployment nationwide.

"I chose to start working with LEAD in the fall of 2016, when I had to assemble a completely new management team as part of the establishment of a new agency. I knew LEAD from a course I had participated in myself, and I was therefore very comfortable with both the management foundation, value base and working method. The combination of LEAD's research-based approach and professionally solid tools and Torsten's professional and at the same time empathetic and compassionate approach has since been a solid support and a motivating guide in relation to the professional and relational ambition that drives the management team at the House of Nævnenes Hus."
