The cross-communal facilitation training

Why choose a degree in facilitation?

Facilitation is a key skill that contributes positively to a wide range of work tasks. Overall, facilitation training can improve your communication skills, streamline meetings and work processes, strengthen team dynamics and help with conflict and problem solving.

The facilitator programme teaches you how to lead change, processes and meetings in your organization through facilitation. The program equips you to become a professional and skilled facilitator who is able to create a safe and open atmosphere where groups of people can express their ideas, listen to each other and work together to achieve common goals. You'll bring your own home organization into play by working on learning and implementation between modules. At the same time, you get support on how to put new knowledge from the course into practice in everyday life.

Close connection between theory and your everyday life

The program is based on a link between theory and practice.

Throughout the course, you will actively work with specific cases from your own practice. This ensures a greater benefit and that both you and your organization experience a noticeable effect in your daily tasks.

After graduation, you will receive a certificate of completion.

Target group for the course

The facilitation training is aimed at people who regularly facilitate meetings, workshops, work with citizen involvement, development, implementation or change management. Possible participants can e.g. be employed as a project manager, development consultant, special consultant, senior consultant, HR consultant, manager, middle manager, team leader, urban planner, social worker, caseworker, communications officer, etc.

It is important that the participant can take one or more cases from their own everyday life with e.g. concrete meetings or workshops. concrete meetings or workshops that can act as training grounds during the training.

Duration and form

The facilitation training consists of three teaching days and two self-facilitated everyday implementation meetings of two hours each, where participants get feedback on facilitation challenges and at the same time practice the facilitation profession with a specific task.

The training consists of a combination of short presentations of theory and the latest knowledge about facilitation and process management, coupled with the participants' own experiences and work from practice. We believe that facilitation is a craft that must be learned. Therefore, the training focuses on training the tools and supporting the participants in how to transfer the knowledge to their own organization and everyday life.

Between each module, learning sprints are conducted where participants work actively to solve sample actions. Sample actions are concrete solutions to the challenges that the participant must succeed in solving in their daily lives. These are followed up with an optional buddy activity such as sparring or similar.

Estimate approximately 1 hour of preparation per day - primarily on learning videos.
