Offer and business development consultant

LEAD is looking for a bid consultant with strong writing skills and a good business understanding.  

LEAD's offer area plays an important role in driving the company's continued growth and we are currently looking for a colleague with good writing skills and a strong commercial mindset to contribute to this.  

You will be part of a young and ambitious tendering team with a high track record and a high degree of empowerment. You will work with tenders, competitive tenders and concept development for our customers in the public and private sector.  

You will lead multidisciplinary project teams, composed according to customer needs, and be responsible for structuring and executing the bidding processes from start to finish. You will drive the offer forward from market dialogue to contract, ensuring that the services are conceptualized in a way that takes into account both quality and profitability. It is important to have an analytical mindset to solve the various complex problems and come up with conceptual solutions that match the market. 

As part of LEAD's tendering area, you will have a wide range of contacts. In addition to the tendering team, your primary stakeholders in larger tenders will be area directors and subject specialists within LEAD and any external stakeholders (HR representatives, procurement consultants, etc.). You will also provide ongoing support and advice across LEAD's consultants in smaller tender processes.  

Work tasks

As a bid consultant at LEAD, you will be responsible for the entire bidding process and your tasks will include  

  • Develop, write and communicate offer material to suit customer needs, for example in collaboration with internal subject matter experts.  
  • Project management throughout the bidding process, including preparing schedules, coordinating with internal subject matter experts, ensuring consistency and meeting deadlines.  
  • Preparation of major and minor budgets.    
  • Develop innovative and tailored programs that match customer needs.  
  • Prepare presentation material for and participate in market dialogs, presentation meetings and negotiation meetings with customers.  
  • Act as a sounding board for management and colleagues for ad-hoc commercial, technical and/or legal assistance in tenders.  
  • Development and streamlining of LEAD's offering processes and activities.

About you

To thrive in the role as a proposal consultant in LEAD, we imagine that you:

  • Have strong communication skills (or thrive on writing larger tasks if you are a recent graduate)
  • Structured, detail-oriented and able to ensure a high level of quality in your work
  • Thrives on and gets excited about innovative solutions to customers' complex problems through both creative and analytical approaches
  • Experience with or interest in project management and stakeholder management
  • Have 1-2 years of experience with quotation processes or if you are a recent graduate, you have the drive and interest in quotation process training
  • Thrives in working with both short and long deadlines where continuous adaptation to the outside world is a prerequisite
  • Have a relevant master's degree in e.g. communication, business administration, psychology, law, political science or similar.


Knowledge of procurement rules is an advantage, but not a requirement. In addition, you must have the desire to play an active role in the further professionalization of LEAD's offer area.
