Sexual Harassment

Authorized Occupational Health Advisor

Sexual harassment can cause discomfort and anxiety

Sexual harassment at work can distress and anxiety—and have serious consequences for both individual well-being and the overall work environment. Clear policies/procedures are essential for managing/preventing harassment. Effective handling requires an environment where respect for personal boundaries is prioritized—and support provided for those affected.

As an employer, you’re required to prevent sexual harassment/other abusive behaviors as part of your occupational health obligations. If you lack necessary knowledge/skills to prevent such issues—which may pose safety/health risks—you should use an authorized advisor. It’s also vital to conduct comprehensive workplace assessments (APV) to identify/manage risks related to abusive behavior.
