Niels works to create welfare value. He considers collaborative management, the ‘strategic mix’ and new forms of organisation to be means to this. He is particularly concerned with welfare when it is under pressure.

He works to understand the challenges and complex problems together with others. And he creates innovative solutions with visible welfare values. With this basic approach, he has more than 20 years of experience working at the intersection of research and practice. This includes building tailor-made training and course programs as well as leadership development and analyses.

Part of his written production is used in long- and medium-length programmes and in communication contexts. For example, he pioneered Trust-Based Leadership with the books ‘Trust and Power’ and ‘Trust on the Bottom Line’. And now with productions that convey how new welfare value is achieved through resource exchanges. Therefore, he is often invited to serve as a keynote speaker at conferences.
