Morten Emil Hansen is an international senior advisor with +25 years of experience in global development, policy influencing and multistakeholder engagement. He supports multilateral institutions, foundations, and NGOs in navigating the complex and evolving aid architecture, mobilizing innovative financing, and positioning organizations within the new global agendas.

Morten is Senior Partnership Consultant with Education Cannot Wait and Senior Associate at LEAD. He has previously been Nordic Advocacy and Policy Lead at Global Citizen, Special Advisor at the LEGO Foundation and Change Manager at ACT Alliance, where he played a central role in strategic advocacy positioning and organizational transformation. He has advised a broad portfolio of global organizations and worked across more than 25 developing countries.

Morten Emil Hansen Experience in the United Nations system

Morten Emil is a strategic advisor with over 20 years of international experience in policy, fundraising, and donor relations. He supports organizations in navigating global development agendas, aid architecture, and high-level multi-stakeholder engagement. 

He has worked as a senior consultant with Global Citizen, leading global fundraising efforts and policy events such as the Financing for Development (FfD4). As a former Special Advisor at the LEGO Foundation and Change Manager at ACT Alliance, he has played a key role in strategic planning, organizational transformation, and high-level facilitation. 

Morten Emil has advised a broad portfolio of international organizations, including ActionAid, Danida, Oxfam, Save the Children, the Global Partnership for Education (GPE), and the Norwegian Church Aid. His expertise spans organizational capacity assessments, policy development, and multi-stakeholder partnerships across more than 25 developing countries. 

Currently, he serves as a Senior Consultant at Global Citizen and Policy Advice, as well as a Senior Partnership Consultant with Education Cannot Wait.
