Kaare has extensive knowledge and practical experience in leadership development, effective teams, psychological safety, organizational analysis and design, reform storm, implementation, change management, AI and digitalization, project management, project organization, portfolio management, and benefit realization. 

He works with teaching, lecturing, and counselling for both public and private organisations.

He has a background as a management consultant and previously as a project manager in KL, a center manager in Sorø Municipality, an internal consultant in Roskilde Municipality, and a researcher at Roskilde University.

This has given extensive experience with organizational processes and people in change. He has also been responsible for operating a job center and understands the importance of safeguarding operations and the people who keep them running. Kaare has served as a project and program manager and advises on numerous courses in municipalities and the state, particularly. He also has solid experience with teaching and dissemination, facilitating workshops and networks, and serving as an external lecturer, among other roles.

Kaare appears present with a twinkle in his eye in his communication. Theoretically and practically dressed, and with an ability to make his material situation specific. He acts well in organizations and has a good ability to empathize with what is needed in the specific situation.

Kaare’s interest is in people in change. He is interested in the complexity and dilemmas that managers and employees face in their daily lives, with many operational considerations and many development initiatives.

Kaare has written the bestseller “Problem-oriented project work – a tool book”, which is in its 5th edition and is currently in progress as a new book on the management of digitalization, to be published in 2025 under the working title “Digital Enforcement for Managers”.

Kaare holds an MSc in Techn.Soc. and PhD in Social Science.
